Steve started sailing as a kid on the Chesapeake Bay cruising on big boats as well as banging around with his friends on their Sunfishes. He raced in college where he went to the intercollegiate nationals as part of the 78’-79’ St. Mary’s sailing team. He was also a member of the Northeastern University sailing team, racing on the Charles River in Boston as well as all over the east coast and Great Lakes.
Living in Boston for 30 years , he explored and fished the coast from Connecticut to Maine on various family sailboats and Boston Whalers. Steve Moved to the pacific Northwest n 2016 and, although he spends a lot of on water time racing sailboats, he also enjoy’s going out for an evening cruise or weekender with friends and family and has particularly enjoyed exploring his new playground of Puget Sound and the Islands.
He is passionate about boating and loves sharing this passion with others. Steve is carries a 50-Ton C.G. Masters License and is an ASA certified instructor.
